Where I Ate: March 2023

Last month felt pretty long to me. I was in the thick of the first semester of uni and took on more shifts at work so I was exhausted by the end of it. But, I did manage to try some new places during the month, so I am going to share them here!

1. 16/3/2023 - J Shinsen Express ๐Ÿ“ Indroopilly
This little sushi train was so cool! I hauled my partner out to Indroopilly shopping centre to get these tights that had stars on them (they weren't at any other Dangerfield) and we came across this sushi train. When we were looking around the food court we saw a little ใ—ใ‚“ใ‹ใ‚“ใ›ใ‚“ (shinkansen or bullet train) delivering the little plates of sushi to the tables, and I was immediately sold.

We ordered a lot of things and it all came to us on the bullet train! I wish I had taken a video. Everything was super yummy but the best thing they had was the Matcha Strawberry Iced Latte. I already love matcha and strawberry, but together it was soooo good. They had other cute looking cocktails as well, so I hope to go back and try some different things soon!!๐Ÿฃ

(sorry for the weird hand in the second pic lmaooo, he wanted to ruin my girlblog pictures ๐Ÿ˜ )

2. 23/3/2023 - Powerhouse Night Market ๐Ÿ“ New Farm
I met up with one of my bestest friends from middle school and we had such a good time here. This market is a temporary, annual market where restaurants show off their special signature dishes. Everything was super good, but it comes with all the market hallmarks; expensive and small portions. In true amateur blogger style, I forgot to take photos of any of the food we had, but I remember a few dishes we shared.
  • Taro Ramen - Pork Ramen
  • Uncle Donburi - Yuzu-aide and Pork Katsu Sando w/ jelly
  • Dalton Catering - Baked Potato
All super yummy, and made much more fun by meeting up with an old friend. I will definitely go next year (with more money lol)๐Ÿน.

3. 27/3/2023 - Bonsai Botanika ๐Ÿ“ Brisbane CBD
I cannot believe I didn't know about this place until my partner took me at the end of last year. It is so cute. And it remind me so much of actual cafes I went to in Japan. They have the cutest display of cakes and sweets and a huuuge array of drinks, and really good quality matcha. I love this place. I could live in there ๐Ÿฅฎ.
I had an iced matcha and a tiramisu, which were both really good. The tiramisu was a bit bitter, but in true Japanese style, all the sweets are not too sweet. I went there to watch the new epidose of Succession, which is my favourite show at the moment, I can't get enough!

4. 31/3/2023 - O Bagel ๐Ÿ“ Brisbane CBD
I am not the most massive fan of bagels but I was taken with the cute store front of O Bagel. And I am so glad I tried it. It was so delicious and the perrrrfect size. I usually find my self too full after eating at restaurants but this was so good. I had the G'morning on an Everything bagel and added avocado and it was so good ๐Ÿฅฏ.

Everywhere I went this month I will definitely go back to eventually! It was all so cute and yummy.

I experimented with annotating the photos I took but I have a feeling the quality of the photos is kind of poor (sorry!).

Thank you for reading ♡

Love,
Nini ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’ซ
