My Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T.
Hello everyone,
Long time no see. I have been very busy with my degree and my job, but to be honest, the perfectionist in me never lets me just sit doen a write a blog post. Its such a pain. I have been wanting to write for ages but I'm such a procrastinator. Anyway, I thought that I would try an set up a little weekly blog post with a format I have seen a lot of Tiktok. It is called My Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T, and each of the letters stand for something to reflect upon. It is cute, short and to-the-point so i thought it might get me into the habit of writing on here regularly. I hope you enjoy this post! π₯¬
R. Reading
This week I started reading A Pale View of Hills by Kazuo Ishiguro. I really have been enjoying it so far. I have never read any of his other books but I am consumed by the way he writes. This story has drawn me in so fast, and he does a great job of making you feel like you really are there in the setting along side the protagonist. This story is slightly eerie, but I am really enjoying it so far and I would definitely recommend it. P.S. come back later for the book review blogpost!

Russian Roulette by Red Velvet
I would not have survived this week without this song. I know I am so late to Red Velvet train, but holy sh*t this song is like actual crack. Any time I got low on energy while trying to crank out assignments I just put this on max volume and repeat and suddenly I was thriving. So shout out to Red Velevet for single-handedly motivating me through the end of the degree, and a special shoutout to my faviourite memeber Irene, I love you, you have changed my life for the better.
Kirby's Dream Buffet
I have only played this game for an hour but I love it. Dessert aesthetic with strawberries and cupcakes is an easy way to win me over. It is so cute and is essentially a racing game which personally I love. Very cute and Kirby is the cutest π§
O. Obsessing
Flower Knows. Need I say more. I have been obsessing over their products for about a year now. When I was in Japan at the start of the year I finally got my hand on some matte lipsticks and a blush from the Strawberry Rocco range and they literally changed my life. The products themselves are amazing and pigmented, but in all honesty it is the packaging that wins me over every time. I love all the stuff I own from Flower Knows. Seriously... someone needs to lock away my money, I bought a new palette from them today. I am hoping to do a "Whats in my makeup bag" and do a little review on some of the products soon, so stay tuned!! π©°π
R. Recommending
I recommend going for a walk during spring! Especially in Brisbane, the jacarandas are in full bloom. I feel so lucky to live in Brisbane at this time, and I also feel lucky going to UQ and getting to see the animals everyday by the pond. Right now especially, the ducks are out and about. Do some walking before it gets scorching hot soon π¦
T. Treat
During SWOTVAC at UQ they always bring a few food trucks in to keep spirits high. I can never keep myself away from the crepe van. They are so good. I really miss the crepe loving culture in Japan, like literally every 50 metres there is a crepe shop. It is so awesome. But seriously, crepe with nutella, stawberries and whipped cream is like a top 4 dessert for me. One of the ultimate treats.
So there you go, my first ever weekly R.E.P.O.R.T.! It has been really fun to write and has made me reflect on my week, so I really hope to set it up as a continuous thing. Thanks for reading and I will post again soon!
Love,
Nini Nooks π«ππ§ΈπΈπ
